What do we teach?

Our curriculum brings context instead of generating confusion. We generate coherence instead of quickly forgotten rote memorization.

We start with the historical origins of language, going back to the beginning of writing where they were carving abstract symbols into clay tablets. We then teach the origin of English, where it all started with the Angles tribe in Northern Germany. Finally, we teach the origin of grammar originating with the Athenian Greeks. It’s a long, but important, journey!

After your child has a clear context of the origins of their language, we then teach them the basic mechanics of grammar: sentence structure, parts of speech, the 12 point tense system, mood, and punctuation.

Finally, we based all of their instruction not on a perfect esoteric form of grammar, but on bringing out the originality and clarity from their own unique voice and improving it with education on classical rhetorical tropes, building their self-confidence and self-esteem.

Your child we be receiving clear contextual grammar education rooted in the origins of the language, clear mechanics, and how to apply this knowledge to their own style of writing. It’s unlike any other educational system today.

Hi, I’m Nate Vineyard. I traveled the ancient world to find the beginnings of English grammar. Here I am in Athens, Greece at the ruins of Aristotle’s original school, the Lyceum, holding his book, On Categories, where he first invented the sentence structure that we are still using to this day.

Having traveled and researched for 5 years, I now bring all of that wealth of grammar clarity to your child’s life, teaching them with patience, clarity, and kindness. I can’t wait to see them in class!

How do I know which tutoring plan is right for me?

Every engagement starts with a complimentary consultation where we discuss goals, timelines, and learning preferences. From there, we recommend a custom plan that can be adjusted as your needs evolve.

Can sessions be held online?

Yes. Our sessions are online and always recorded using high-impact visual sessions using interactive whiteboards, screen sharing, and real-time feedback so distance is never a barrier to progress.

When and how will I be billed?

Invoices are emailed at the end of each billing cycle, detailing the completed sessions and any agreed-upon materials. Payments can be made securely online via credit card or Venmo.
